New immigration policy bans visas for trans athletes: "Not in the national interest".
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued policy updates "effective immediately" to prevent trans women athletes abroad from entering the country to compete in sports competitions. The agency said the updates are in accordance with an executive order against trans athletes that directed the Department of Homeland Security to bar entry to trans women from other countries who want to play sports in the United States.
Kennedy center to drop rainbow from award ribbon.
The Kennedy Center is likely dropping its famous rainbow ribbon following Donald Trump's takeover of the cultural institution. The ribbon for the lifetime achievement medallion will likely be redesigned, possibly with a gold ribbon instead.
Texas trump burger chain owner arrested by ICE.
An ICE spokesperson said, "Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States. Beainy is an illegal alien." An immigration judge granted him bond on June 13 while his case continues.
